NOLA Hardware Meetup

This will be our very first in-person New Orleans Hardware Meetup! We’re excited to kick off this new group and build a vibrant, local hardware community. We’ll be meeting at Scale New Orleans, a community of builders and innovators.

We have a great group of guest speakers:

Matt Candler is the founder of Night Shift Bikes, a streetwise, design-forward electric bike company, and My Next Electric, a live online (and soon in-person) education course and coaching venture designed to help people transform their lifestyles in a greener, more sustainable way. He has been teaching + coaching for 25 years and electrifying vehicles for 15. “Making stuff like this fun & easy to understand is my jam.”

Michael Ceraso, a native to New Orleans, honed his ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions as a salesman for Tesla in New York. Upon returning, he joined the University of New Orleans where he made a name for himself as a top roboticist in IEEE Region 5 Robotics Competitions. From there, he went on to design custom circuit boards and firmware for the US Department of Agriculture and now advises on all things electronic – product development, repair, and education.
